Asking a different question...
We all have a few positive habits or skills we’ve built - the things that we do without question, and that others have told us they wish they could do too.
We also have lists of things that we could, should, want and wish we could do, but which, despite try after try, never seem to stick.
Maybe the question we need to ask ourselves then, is not ‘why can’t I keep the new thing going’, but rather ‘what is it that keeps me doing the good things that I do…?’
