Core Principle 3 - Family First

I know that I’m luckier than some - I grew up in a loving and stable home, and I’m part of a loving family today.

But I also know that families take work.

If we want the benefits and blessings of a loving family, then we need to put in more that we expect to take out, and so, given a choice between two conflicting priorities, I do my absolute best to put the needs of my family first.

It’s not always easy, there are times I get it wrong and there’s no short measure of luck needed too.

But experience has taught me it’s worth it, and hopefully it’s a lesson I’m passing onto my kids too...
