Remembering what we already know...
I'm currently reading 'The Personal MBA’ by Josh Kaufman, and I’m loving it.
It’s not that it’s full of new information - I’m 40% of the way through and I’ve not really come across much I didn’t already know - and it’s not that I agree with the core concept of the book that you can gain ‘a world class business education in a single volume’, because I think there’s much more to understanding how businesses work than that.
No, the reason I love Josh’s book is that it’s well-written, it’s reminding me of things that I had forgotten, and it is helping me to join the dots on a few ideas in a way I haven’t done for a while.
It’s true that we don’t know what we don’t know, but sometimes we need reminding of what we do know, so that we can do something meaningful with that all that knowledge…
