Your Old Finishing Line...
When I was training for an Ironman Triathlon a few years ago it was a lot of hard work - training was solitary and rarely ‘fun’, but it was easy to see improvements by analysing my workout data, and ultimately I knew it would all pay off on race day.
Now, in lockdown, I am trying to double-down on my personal growth - more learning, shorter but harder exercise and more intentional days are not as hard as my triathlon training, but they can be just as challenging, and tracking improvement is more art than science.
Moving forward right now requires us to dig deep, maybe deeper than we have ever needed to dig before - but the payoff will ultimately be worth it because one day you’ll look back and realise that you sailed past your old finishing line and never even noticed…
